I think this is a curious skill. What are some of the monsters that would be subject to damage from using the Backfire skill upon them?

Charr Shaman will kill themselves when you cast this on them. Any mob that uses spells will be affected.

Backfire is awesome! As the prior poster said, it works wonders on the Char Shaman. It will mete out serious damage to any spellcaster. Make sure you have some attribute points in your domination attribute so it will increase the damage!

A lot more than you would think! I recently finished up with a W/E and moved on to a Me/Mo, wondering how much action I'd actually get... having only really noticed the odd spellcaster or two in each mob.

In the early stages, you can do serious damage to Shamans, Fire Callers, Ashen Claws, Ash Walkers, Charot, Flame Wielders, Martyrs, Mind Sparks, Overseers, Gargoyles, Ulodytes, Storm Riders, Sages, Howlers, Ice Golems, numerous caster bosses, just to name a few! And when you get 3 or more enemy casters in a large mob, you begin to wonder why your party doesn't have more mesmers to begin with!
